We confirmed our booking with Big Tuna off the back of their 5 start reviews and vehicles just the right aize to handle our belongings and also fit down a tight driveway, and we were not disappointed. From start to finish they were professional, with good communication, time keeping and care. On moving day they turned up ahead of schedule (which helped the nerves), quickly and effectively packed the house and unpacked accordingly at the other end, taking care with out things at all times. TVs, mattresses, furniture were all carefully covered and protected before loading. The team were great all day, with humour, pace and plenty of coffee along the way! Nothing was too much trouble and they were a credit to the company. We'd definitely recommend them and use again.

They were amazing, did a fabulous job and had a laugh while doing it. It made the day stress free and a bit of fun. A lot of our friends told us we were wasting our money paying for movers and not attempting it ourselves. However I am so glad we went with your team

Big tuna moved us into our new home yesterday. Hayley, Danny, Mike, Ollie and Sam moved us - they were all exceptional. From start to finish they were an effective team, polite as well as being friendly and silly - a lightness which helped the day go smoother as it was like we were being moved by a group of not work colleagues but friends. We were out ahead of schedule, emptied out an additional lock up and were at our property by midday ahead of keys. I was worried about the rain but it didn’t concern them so it helped reduce that concern for me. We also had a massive walkway but they did it without issue and continued with their same humour… which considering the length was heroic while they held my very heavy sofa bed. Hayley, Danny, Mike, Ollie and Sam - thank you from us all for getting our things safely to our new home yesterday. Doug & Rach

Big Tuna helped us to move from Plymouth to Portland on 3/8/26. I can honestly say that they are the best removal company I have ever used. Team Hayley, Mike and Jimmy went out of their way to help. Their positive attitude, banter and sense of humour diffused any stress we were initially feeling. Our possessions and home were handled with respect and extreme care. What more can I say except THANK YOU

We had such a fantastic experience with Big Tuna and genuinely couldn’t recommend them more! From the very beginning, they really took the time to understand our needs and worked within our budget, which we truly appreciated. Communication was clear and consistent throughout, so we always felt reassured. On moving day, the team led by Mike was absolutely excellent. They were professional, hardworking, and so polite — nothing was too much trouble. They treated our belongings and both properties with real care and respect, which made a potentially stressful day feel so much smoother. We were honestly so impressed with the whole service and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again!

We used Big Tuna Removals Plymouth for our recent house move and couldn’t fault the service from start to finish. We’d never used a removal company before and didn’t really know what to expect, so we got three quotes. From the very first contact, Big Tuna stood out. There was a real air of professionalism about them, and their communication was clear, quick, and responsive. Josh took a lot of time to understand what we needed, starting with a detailed call and then following up with an in person survey. He was thorough, happy to answer questions, and really good at managing expectations around what they would handle and what we needed to do. Of the three companies we spoke to, Josh spent the most time making sure the quote was accurate. The final price was also very competitive, which made the decision easy. On moving day, James, Mike & Owen were brilliant. They arrived on time, were extremely professional but also very friendly and easy to get along with. Moving day is stressful and emotional, especially with kids involved, but they quickly made us feel at ease. They even went out of their way to involve our children and make them feel part of the day, which was a really thoughtful touch. They worked incredibly hard, were well organised, and dealt with any small obstacles without any fuss. You could tell they knew exactly what they were doing. Everything was packed carefully and methodically, and when it was unloaded later, everything arrived safely and in great condition. Early on, they politely reassured us to relax and let them get on with it as they had a system that worked, which honestly helped us enjoy the day a lot more. That was exactly what we wanted from using a removals company in the first place. To take the pressure off and make the day as smooth and enjoyable as possible. The whole experience was professional yet friendly, and it genuinely made a stressful day far more manageable and memorable for the right reasons. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Big Tuna Removals to anyone moving house and wanting a reliable, organised team who clearly know what they’re doing.

The chaps at Big Tuna came highly recommended so when we got our date to move I was straight on the phone to James who couldn’t do enough to help! On the day, Matt, Richard and Jim turned up on time and were absolutely brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble and they were such great fun to be around and really took the stress out of the day. They took the greatest care of our possessions and went over and above. I am extremely grateful to everyone at Big Tuna for making a very stressful experience much easier. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who wants a professional, efficient and reasonable removals service. Thankyou so much !!!

I recently had to move out of my accommodation. Big Tuna Removals Plymouth was recommended to me. I didn't have furniture, but I had a lot boxes and bags. It was decided that only one operative was required. He was very helpful as I could not help much. He loaded the van on his own. He also took my belongings to the storage unit for me. I just gave him a lock He sent me a video of my unit including the lock in situ I was very appreciative of the way the removal and storage was handled. I felt the price was quite reasonable for the service. I would recommend Big Tuna Removals Plymouth. Steve Edwards

I cannot speak highly enough of the team who moved us last week. This move has come at the end of nearly 6 months of stress to get to completion and was the total opposite to that. Who’d have thought the move day would be the least stressful part!! We have a lot of big heavy furniture, nothing was too much trouble - even a 6x8ft shed!! At the other end everything was put in the right rooms. It really was very organised. I would not hesitate in recommending Big Tuna to anyone who moves house in the future! THANK YOU 🫶🏼🏡

First time using a removal company and had nothing but a great experience. First enquired about the service and had a lovely guy come out to complete a surgery same day. Move booking was easy and James and the team were there to assist. Moving day was a nerve wracking experience but the team were helpful and respectful. Would recommend.

Big Tuna did my removals on 14/11/25. The service was quick, efficient and very professional. Nothing was too much trouble. No hassle and no damages, everything was handled with great care. Ben, Mike and Hayley were an extremely friendly and positive team despite the awful weather on the day. I can’t recommend Big Tuna highly enough.

Big Tuna were fab for my recent logistically complex move … they had everything all planned and made a really stressful situation much more manageable with a clear plan of action, absolute professionalism, timeliness, friendliness and injected some much needed humour!!! They were really helpful and I would book them again without hesitation if I were to move again. Highly recommend 😀
