A piano is an incredibly delicate instrument and needs to be moved with precaution. One misstep could result in hundreds or even thousands of pounds worth of damage, not to mention the personal injury risks involved in moving such a large and unwieldy item.
1) Piano removals are dangerous as they can weigh up to 300kg, which is more than most people can lift. You’ll need at least three or four strong people to keep it steady enough to avoid damaging it.
2) Thay are wide; you will most likely suffer damage in tight corners with Plymouth homes and doorways. Additionally, if you have stairs, this can make a safe piano move almost impossible without the specialist tools needed.
3) Pianos are delicate instruments with fragile surfaces. The outside is frequently a gleaming finish that is easily damaged or scratched. On the other hand, the interior includes numerous delicate parts that can be harmed if bounced or dropped.
4) They’re expensive. They cost a lot of money, so you need to ensure you don’t spend more on the repair bills.
In short, these jobs are best left to the professionals. Save yourself the trouble (and the expense) by hiring a company specialising in them.
