We had such a fantastic experience with Big Tuna and genuinely couldn’t recommend them more! From the very beginning, they really took the time to understand our needs and worked within our budget, which we truly appreciated. Communication was clear and consistent throughout, so we always felt reassured.

We used Big Tuna Removals Plymouth for our recent house move and couldn’t fault the service from start to finish.
We’d never used a removal company before and didn’t really know what to expect, so we got three quotes. From the very first contact, Big Tuna stood out. There was a real air of professionalism about them, and their communication was clear, quick, and responsive.
Josh took a lot of time to understand what we needed, starting with a detailed call and then following up with an in person survey. He was thorough, happy to answer questions, and really good at managing expectations around what they would handle and what we needed to do. Of the three companies we spoke to, Josh spent the most time making sure the quote was accurate. The final price was also very competitive, which made the decision easy.
On moving day, James, Mike & Owen were brilliant. They arrived on time, were extremely professional but also very friendly and easy to get along with. Moving day is stressful and emotional, especially with kids involved, but they quickly made us feel at ease. They even went out of their way to involve our children and make them feel part of the day, which was a really thoughtful touch.
They worked incredibly hard, were well organised, and dealt with any small obstacles without any fuss. You could tell they knew exactly what they were doing. Everything was packed carefully and methodically, and when it was unloaded later, everything arrived safely and in great condition.
Early on, they politely reassured us to relax and let them get on with it as they had a system that worked, which honestly helped us enjoy the day a lot more. The chaps at Big Tuna came highly recommended so when we got our date to move I was straight on the phone to James who couldn’t do enough to help! On the day, Matt, Richard and Jim turned up on time and were absolutely brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble and they were such great fun to be around and really took the stress out of the day. I recently had to move out of my accommodation.

I didn't have furniture, but I had a lot boxes and bags.
It was decided that only one operative was required.
He was very helpful as I could not help much. He loaded the van on his own. He also took my belongings to the storage unit for me. I just gave him a lock
He sent me a video of my unit including the lock in situ
I was very appreciative of the way the removal and storage was handled.
I felt the price was quite reasonable for the service.

I cannot speak highly enough of the team who moved us last week.
This move has come at the end of nearly 6 months of stress to get to completion and was the total opposite to that. Who’d have thought the move day would be the least stressful part!!
We have a lot of big heavy furniture, nothing was too much trouble - even a 6x8ft shed!!
At the other end everything was put in the right rooms. It really was very organised.
I would not hesitate in recommending Big Tuna to anyone who moves house in the future! THANK YOU 🫶🏼🏡

First time using a removal company and had nothing but a great experience. First enquired about the service and had a lovely guy come out to complete a surgery same day. Move booking was easy and James and the team were there to assist. Moving day was a nerve wracking experience but the team were helpful and respectful. Would recommend.

Big Tuna did my removals on 14/11/25. The service was quick, efficient and very professional. Nothing was too much trouble. No hassle and no damages, everything was handled with great care. We used Big Tuna Removals for our house move on Friday and myself & my husband couldn’t recommend them enough. From start to finish the process was simple and easy! The team came the day before our move to do a pre move which was a huge help for us when it came to clearing a lot of the house to allow us to clean before leaving the following day. We had a few awkward items that we needed to get out the house and they found solutions with no stress and just got it sorted for us. We were moving as a family with a 2 year old toddler and a 3 day old baby and they did everything they could for us and more with having our hands full! James visited our house to give us a very competitive removals quote, taking into consideration all our belongings and fragile items. He was helpful and gave us very sound advice with the moving process.

I can't recommend Big Tuna Removals enough! I needed a single large item (a very complex and heavy weaving loom!) moved from a town near Plymouth all the way to my flat in London. The team are so friendly and they dismantled and packed the loom with great care, and then reassembled it for me when they arrived.
There was frequent communication throughout the whole process and they were very flexible, and I was even able to track their location when they were en route. I am super grateful for all their help, and strongly recommend Big Tuna if you need a fantastic moving company!

We used big tuna removals to move from London to Plymouth and they were amazing! 5 star service! James and the team made everything so smooth with initial booking and help with dates, right through to our two day move.

I hired Big Tuna Removals Company to move all my possessions from Plymouth to Brighton. I was quite nervous as it was the farthest journey I’ve moved my things over and I find moving quite stressful. James was so helpful in booking the move in, he was really responsive via message and phone and talked me through the process. He kept me up to date at all stages and was really flexible when my house completion date was up in the air. His team packed up my stuff safely and we’re really friendly and professional when moving my things. They assembled some larger pieces of bedroom furniture for me and kept my new home well protected when moving the furniture in. Definitely one of the best moving companies I’ve used and highly recommend them.

What an incredible bunch of guys. Made the day feel so much more fun and took away so much stress! They were quick and efficient and really took care of the property we were moving into using special floor covers and sticky stair tape leaving the house still clean and tidy even after a move. The guys at Big Tuna Removals Plymouth were awesome! Punctual, efficient and careful loading the lorry at the house. Mike and Jim drove up to The Midlands and arrived at the Storage Facility at the allotted time. Again, they worked efficiently unloading the lorry and had a great sense of humour which made the whole process less stressful.
All the guys were very personable and friendly.
Kimmy and James at the office were prompt at replying to my queries. Using Wattsap made the whole process very easy.

Having moved some 18 times plus our recent move from Plymouth to Somerset was a biggie for us as we want this to be our final move.
Being too old to self move we looked for a Moving Company that was efficient, keen on price , trustworthy and had tidy vehicles along with presentable staff.
Didn't want our new neighbours to see us arriving in a dirty scruffy vehicle with a couple of likely lads who were mates of mates and could do the job like a Chinese wrist watch, cheap cheap with no care or service offered.
Having reviewed on line Removals for Plymouth we selected 2 Moving Companies to price our move. Both appeared good but from the initial meeting and communication with James at Big Tuna my Wife and I were confident in his Company being able to deliver what we wanted. They were more expensive but still imho very fair value for the money given the excellent service provided throughout.
In the weeks following our quote meeting as we were firming up our completion date James and Kimmie kept in touch.
Finally on our actual Removals date as confirmed an immaculate signed truck arrived bang on time as with James in attendance to help Mike and the rest of the team with loading and packing.
The banter and inter action from the crew including the young lady who was as good as any bloke in her work (sorry didn't ask her Name) was great and all seemed genuinely happy in their work.
Efficient, careful and everything we'd hoped for, for our move.
A few hours later and off to Somerset where the contents were off loaded with the same care and placed in our chosen rooms, we also used Big Tunas diassembly and reassembly for tables, beds etc, we'd recommend this as an add on. Saves time and effort.
We could go on but the experience of our Removal with Big Tuna was brilliant.

I Cannot recommend Big Tuna Removals in Plymouth enough! I needed some pieces of furniture removed as a matter of urgency. I contacted Big Tuna at 5pm and didn't expect a reply until the next day but James contacted me very quickly and within an hour of my request, my booking for collection for the next day was all sorted! The removal men were very friendly but proffessional and I really don't know how they managed to get my furniture out of a narrow halway and door, but they did quite easily in fact! It was pleasure working with James and his colleagues, who helped me out in what was for me a very stressful situation. I have now book marked this company as I will definitly use them again and recommend them to family and friends if they ever need a house clearance, removal or even just one piece of furniture to be removed! We contacted Big Tuna Removals Plymouth as needed some furniture & white goods moved from a tricky house.
From the first contact, the team were amazing - super friendly and so helpful! Nothing was too much trouble.
On the day, the guys worked SO hard to load and unload within a timeframe I needed. Everything was packed with so much care and they were great at making sure everything was where it needed to be.

I've taken a few days to think about how to review Big Tuna Removals, who moved us this weekend. Quite honestly I can't say enough good things about this company. From initial contact to waving them off on Saturday evening, our experience with them has been stress free and effortless. Big Tuna were recommended to us by a friend, who was 100% happy with their experience. Our move was arranged within 10 days of our moving date and Big Tuna went out of their way to accommodate us around their prior commitments, and our short time frame. A video walk through our house gave foundation for our quote. The quote was extremely reasonable and they reassured us that everything would be okay, they would handle everything, and they did! With limited parking at our old house (on a lane) they somehow managed to park two trucks so they didn't interfere with traffic, handled stairs to the property, negotiated small spaces in a small house, and worked effortlessly as a team, whilst smiling, reassuring me and genuinely enjoying their job. At the other end they parked, off loaded (up stairs again!) and worked until quite late in the day without a single complaint. It was such a hot day and they worked so hard! lf you want a completely stress free, professional, moving experience at a very reasonable price please do yourself the biggest favour you can and book Big Tuna.

Couldn't recommend Big Tuna Removals company in Plymouth enough!
James and his team were friendly and professional throughout the whole house moving process. We opted for the packing service in addition to moving and I still can't get over how efficient they were at packing up our 3 bedroom house. On the day of the move, the team were so careful with all of our belongings and loaded/unloaded the vans so efficiently and checked in with us all the time to make sure the boxes were placed in the right rooms.

Brilliant service! I highly recommend James and his team! We recently moved to a new house, and they provided a great home removal service. Because of previous experience with other companies, I was very nervous about our items getting damaged during the move, but the team took very good care of all our items, they even used floor protector film not to make the floor dirty (which I have never seen done before by any other moving company). As we accumulated a lot of rubbish during the move and renovations, we asked the team to dispose of all the waste, which they arranged very quickly for a good price. Amazing! Would 100% recommend! James helped relocate my elderly father from Cornwall to Leicestershire to be closer to family. He made everything easy and the team were respectful and dignified to the amount an old man hoarder had 🤣 he was so much easier to deal with than trying to organise my 2 older brothers! I actually live in Cardiff so was no where near either destination. We also booked a waste collection after the move, i checked it after and it was left perfect!

Cannot recommend James and ‘Big Tuna Moving Company’ highly enough. We were moving from Essex back down to Devon. Our new home is in a particularly remote location, down very narrow single lanes and over bridges and rural tracks. James was methodical with his planning, driving the rural route himself and preparing for mud, ice and planning a relay system from a larger van into a smaller Sprinter. The team were fantastic, very polite, personable, professional and could not have been more helpful.

We hired these guys when we moved house (August 2022) after doing it ourselves the last time we moved we knew we needed help! They moved everything for us from our two bed terrace in a couple hours. We hired for the day due to the ways of chains when moving house which put our mind at ease knowing it would all get placed into the new house.
We also hired them for a move of an upright piano 2-3 person job. It wasn’t an easy task but they took the job on and succeeded in speedy time too.

When I called Big Tuna with a late last minute request to move a wardrobe and chest of drawers, he informed me he was able to do it after his last job, which he didn't usually do. So efficient the seller wasn't even ready for him when he turned up not long after the phone call. Everything arrived undamaged, adequately protected and secured very well. Went above and beyond, great service will definitely use again and highly recommend.
